High-Impact Corner Guard — 51 mm wing, 90°
The 160 is the default corner guard on UAE hospital and school projects. A 1.8 mm continuous aluminium retainer is screwed to the corner and the 2 mm rigid vinyl cover snaps over it, so the cover can be replaced after years of impact without touching the wall. Top and bottom caps are included; the European version is tested to EN standards.

Not every corner is a true 90°. The flexible guard is made from Biopolymer Flex PVC, adjusts ±10° to the wall and is fixed with heavy-duty adhesive — ideal for refurbishments, nurseries and anywhere a hard edge is unwelcome.

Which corner guard should I specify for a hospital in the UAE?
The 160 (51 mm wings) is the standard on corridor and ward corners, with the 150 (76 mm) on columns and wide door reveals and the 130 on 135° corners. Kitchens, CSSD and loading areas switch to stainless steel. Send us the drawings and we will prepare a corner schedule.
What is the difference between surface-mount, flush-mount and tape-on corner guards?
Surface-mount guards (160, 150, 130, 170) screw a retainer to the finished corner and snap a cover over it — the strongest and most repairable option. Flush-mount (160F) builds the retainer into the wall before plastering so the cover finishes flush with the surface. Tape-on guards fix with factory-applied adhesive tape in minutes, for lighter duty and occupied buildings.
How high should corner guards be?
Full height (floor to ceiling) on bed, trolley and lift routes; otherwise 1.2 m to 1.5 m covers the impact zone of trolleys, wheelchairs and bags. Standard lengths are 1.22 m, 2.44 m, 2.74 m and 3.66 m, cut to size on site; custom heights are available.
Are the corner guards fire-rated?
Vinyl models are Class A to ASTM E-84 / UL 723 and the European versions carry EN test data. For corners inside one- or two-hour fire-rated partitions, specify the 160FR, which is UL-classified as part of the rated assembly. Certificates are issued with the data sheets for your authority submittal.
Can a damaged corner guard be repaired without replacing the whole unit?
Yes — on retainer-mounted models only the snap-on vinyl cover is replaced; the retainer stays on the wall. Bluedge keeps the common colours available for UAE projects so maintenance replacements are quick.
Do you have stainless steel corner guards for kitchens and loading areas?
Yes. Surface-mount stainless guards in Type 304 (NSF 51) or Type 430, in 38, 51 or 89 mm wings and 14–18 gauge, and flush-mount stainless guards for a seamless finish. Custom wings, angles and heights are available.
