The premium specification: a 6.4 mm (¼")-thick stainless steel rail held 83 mm off the wall on an H-bracket with a neoprene gasket. Fixings are hidden stud welds, so the face is completely clean — nothing to catch a cloth, nothing to corrode, nothing to vandalise.

The 50SSH and 56SSH are Inpro's heavy-duty stainless steel wall guards for kitchens, service corridors, loading docks and hospital back-of-house. A 6.4 mm (¼") Type 304 stainless steel face, 16 gauge in a No. 4 satin finish, is carried on an H-section bracket with a neoprene gasket, so impact is taken by the rail and bracket rather than the wall behind it.

What sets the H-bracket version apart is the mounting: the face is fixed by hidden stud welds, leaving an unbroken satin surface with no exposed screw heads. Choose the 102 mm (4") 50SSH for trolley and bed-bumper duty, or the 152 mm (6") 56SSH where larger equipment or forklifts are in use.

  • 102 mm (4") or 152 mm (6") of wall protection, extending 83 mm (3¼") from the wall
  • 6.4 mm (¼") thick Type 304, 16 gauge stainless steel, No. 4 satin finish
  • H-bracket with neoprene gasket; mounting by hidden stud welds — no visible fasteners
  • Pre-cut and pre-drilled for fast installation
  • Made with 75% post-consumer recycled material — may contribute to LEED® Recycled Content credit
  • Superior impact resistance for kitchens, corridors and other high-abuse areas

Wall protection FAQs

Common questions from consultants, contractors and facility managers specifying stainless steel and aluminium wall guards in the UAE.

What is the difference between a wall guard and a crash rail?

Both protect walls from impact. A crash rail is a wall guard mounted off the wall on brackets — the Inpro 50SSH, 51SS, 52SS and 50AA — so trolleys, beds and carts strike the rail rather than the wall surface. Flush-fitting guards such as the 30SS and 31SS sit 38 mm off the wall on a continuous retainer and suit tighter corridors.

What is the difference between the 50SSH, 51SS and 52SS?

All three are 6.4 mm-thick Type 304 stainless rails. The 50SSH (102 mm) and 56SSH (152 mm) mount on an H-bracket with hidden stud welds, so no screws show on the face. The 51SS is a 102 mm rail on a tubular aluminium bracket with exposed stainless screws — the fastest to install. The 52SS is a slimmer 51 mm rail on Ø38 mm stainless tube brackets with ABS end caps, supplied pre-assembled to field dimensions.

Which height should I specify for a stainless steel wall guard?

Match the guard to what hits the wall. Hospital beds and bariatric equipment usually need a 102 mm or 152 mm rail set at the bumper height of the equipment; trolleys and carts are protected by a 102 mm rail at deck height; chair-rail protection in waiting rooms is covered by the 51 mm 52SS or 64 mm 21SS. Bluedge can site-measure and recommend heights for your equipment schedule.

Should I choose stainless steel or aluminium?

Type 304 stainless steel is the standard for healthcare, commercial kitchens and front-of-house areas where hygiene, corrosion resistance and appearance matter. Solid 6 mm (¼") anodised aluminium (50AA, 56AA) delivers the same impact protection at lower cost and weight for service corridors, car parks, logistics areas and warehouses.

Are Inpro stainless steel wall guards available for projects in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the rest of the UAE?

Yes. Bluedge Structural Systems is the authorised UAE distributor for Inpro / IPC door and wall protection and supplies and installs across all seven emirates. We provide technical data sheets, specification clauses, physical samples and site measurement, and we are registered with ADNOC, ADCD and DCD and hold ICV certification.

Can the rails be supplied with corners and returns?

Yes. All families are supplied with factory-formed inside and outside corners, end caps or returns to wall, and splices centred on brackets for long runs, so the installed line is continuous with no raw or sharp edges. Send us your wall lengths and we return a cutting schedule with the quotation.

How are stainless steel wall guards cleaned and maintained?

The No. 4 satin finish is wiped with a soft cloth and a neutral or stainless-steel cleaner in the direction of the grain. No repainting or recoating is ever required, which is why stainless guards are preferred over painted steel or timber in hospitals and kitchens.
